Del. prosecutors want mental evaluation of Bradley

DOVER, Del. - April 20, 2011

Bradley is awaiting trial on charges of sexually assaulting scores of patients over more than a decade before he was arrested in December 2009.

Prosecutor Paula Ryan filed a motion this week seeking a mental evaluation of Bradley, whose attorneys may decide to present a mental illness defense. A spokesman for the attorney general's office declined to comment, citing a gag order issued by the judge.

Jury selection in Bradley's criminal trial is set to begin June 1.

Last week, the judge ruled that graphic videos allegedly showing Bradley raping several young victims can be admitted as evidence, despite mistakes police made in drafting and executing a search warrant.
