Authorities say 3-month-old Denisse Cintron died Monday at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.
State police say the child's mother, 29-year-old Denisse Delucca-Moncayo of Carteret, lost control of her car Sunday morning and crashed into a concrete barrier near the Exit 12 toll booths in Carteret.
Trooper Ryan Kauffmann and a truck driver performed CPR to revive the child.
Delucca-Moncayo and the child's grandmother suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
