Police: Pa. mom had girl, 14, do drug deal

State police say a southwestern Pennsylvania mother had her 14-year-old daughter trade four prescription painkillers for crack cocaine.

Thirty-nine-year-old Christine Teets, of North Union Township, was freed after her arraignment Tuesday on charges including solicitation of minors to traffic drugs. Teets hung up when The Associated Press called her for comment Wednesday.

Police say the girl told them her mother was at a bar on April 19 when she text messaged the girl at home and told her to get four Percocet pills from the kitchen and go outside and give them to a man identified only as "Adrian." The girl says Adrian was supposed to give her something in return and she told police she believed it was crack cocaine.

Police say they later found crack in the residence and charged Teets.
