Wendy Apple of Middleburg says she was told by students who attend Midd-West High School, where her son attends, that Judy Buranich writes books under the name "Judy Mays." She says she researched her books online and told administrators.
Apple and other parents told WNEP-TV they are unhappy with the content. They say Buranich should keep teaching, though she should be more discreet.
Buranich declined interview requests from the AP. The story sparked a large response on Facebook from Buranich's supporters who say the books have been common knowledge for years, and Buranich doesn't bring her work into the classroom.
