Report: Pa. lawmaker brandished gun on I-78

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) - April 28, 2011

The Morning Call of Allentown reports that state Sen. Bob Mensch of Montgomery County was cited with summary disorderly conduct on March 9 in connection with an incident on Interstate 78.

Troopers from the Pennsylvania State Police barracks in Hamburg pulled over Mensch after they say a passing motorist spotted him with "a black-colored handgun ... in his right hand."

Police say Mensch did not point the weapon at the motorist. Mensch is scheduled to appear in district court on May 9. He could not immediately be reached for comment.
