2 arrested in hit-and-run of child, 1 sought

Two men involved in the hit-and-run of a child in Pleasantville, New Jersey have been apprehended, police said.

A third man is still being sought.

The victim, a 7-year-old boy, was hit around 7 p.m. Saturday on Franklin Boulevard and Charles Avenue in Pleasantville.

Police say the driver tried to flee on foot but was soon apprehended.

Details of the second suspect's arrest were not immediately available.

Investigators say the child was riding a bike when the black minivan knocked him over.

The boy was last reported in critical condition at Cooper University Hospital.

The names of those apprehended have not yet been released.
