Streets reopen after no bomb found in garage

LANCASTER, Pa. - May 2, 2011

Lancaster Police Chief Keith Sadler told the (Lancaster) Intelligencer Journal/Lancaster New Era that the anonymous call actually was related to a police investigation that has been going on for the last few days. He declined comment on the nature of that investigation, which also has involved the FBI.

A caller at 3 a.m. Monday reported the possible presence of a bomb in the Prince Street garage, prompting an eight-hour evacuation of residents in a two-block area along with street closures. Police said a sweep by state police K-9 dogs turned up no evidence of explosives.
