Offshore drilling debate heating up again

BELMAR, N.J. - May 5, 2011

But the pain of $4-a-gallon gasoline is renewing pressure from supporters of drilling to do more to add to the nation's energy supplies.

Cindy Zipf of Clean Ocean Action says the bills make it easier to drill offshore without environmental reviews, putting the East Coast at risk of a BP-style accident.

Supporters say the drilling ban is costing the country jobs and domestic sources of energy.
