Police say a body found in Beaver River is that of an 18-year-old student reported missing from a western Pennsylvania college in January who is believed to have committed suicide.

Beaver Falls police confirm that the body found Thursday was that of Devon Minor, a Geneva college freshman who disappeared Jan. 20 shortly after posting a Facebook message saying he had a problem and that nobody could help him.

Police announced their findings at a news conference at the private, Christian school about 30 miles northwest of Pittsburgh.

Minor's roommates alerted police two days after he was last seen in a campus dining hall. Minor was from Clifton Heights, Delaware County, near Philadelphia.

Authorities say results of an autopsy are incomplete, though there is reason to believe Minor killed himself.
