Hainesport, NJ - May 7, 2011

The crime happened early Saturday morning, right in front of the town's volunteer fire company and rescue squad on Broad Street.

New Jersey State Police say several people started fighting. During the melee, one of the combatants managed to get into a car. The suspect drove the car into the people fighting.

Three people were injured, as the driver fled the scene. A 20-year-old man with two fractured legs is the most seriously injured, according to investigators.
