Judge won't change cop shooter's sentence

MEDIA, Pa. - May 11, 2011

Marvin Marmolejos had sought to withdraw his plea to attempted murder and assault charges in last May's shooting of Officer Raymond Blohm but instead asked a Delaware County judge to reconsider his 30- to 60-year sentence.

Judge Michael Coll refused the request on Tuesday.

Marmolejos shot Blohm four times in May, 2010 after as he and the officer exchanged gunfire.

Authorities say Blohm spotted Marmolejos drinking from an open container and smoking marijuana.

The Delaware County Daily Times reports Blohm has since returned to work but still has a bullet lodged near his hip.
