Schuylkill Exp. briefly shut for medical emergency

UPPER MERION TWP., Pa. - May 13, 2011

Friday evening rush hour traffic stopped in both directions on the Schuylkill expressway to allow a Medical Helicopter to land just east of route 202 not far from the King of Prussia Mall.

The Penn Star chopper called in to transport a small boy who Police say had earlier had knocked out several of his teeth in a bicycle accident after suffering an apparent seizure.

His mom was driving him to the hospital. Caught in traffic she called 911. Arriving paramedics decided on the airlift.

Chopper Six captured the arrival of the little boy on the roof top of Children's Hospital. The little boy kept his hands over his face.

He is expected to make a complete recovery.
