The 163-foot fishing boat Sandy Point sank on the edge of the Mississippi Sound channel after it was rammed by the 660-foot Eurus London shortly before 9 p.m. Wednesday.
Coast Guard Capt. Donald J. Rose in Mobile, Ala., said they decided Friday to suspend the search in about 25 feet of water for the missing men after two days of searching an area from Cat Island to Horn Island.
Thirteen crew members aboard the Sandy Point were rescued.
Rose says a safety zone is still in effect in the channel to allow for safe salvage of the fishing boat.
