The music of Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff was part of the tribute gala. They received the Chamber Orchestra's Lifetime Achievement Award.
Former Mayor and Governor Ed Rendell did the honors.
In 35 years of collaboration, they wrote some 3,000 songs and helped establish "The Sound of Philadelphia."
