Police tell Action News that the victim, said to be in his late 40's, was approached by two males armed with guns in the rear of 2310 South 66th Street just before 2:00 a.m. Sunday. The gunmen demanded money from the victim. During the robbery, the victim was shot at least one time in the buttocks.
He was taken by ambulance to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he is listed in stable condition.
The gunmen made off with at least $300 cash.
