Gary Stone says that's the new rule in his house, imposed by his wife.
Stone is an avid collector of old phonographs and 78-rpm records.
He's got 10 of the machines, including a rare Victrola 18 model from 1915.
He tells the Denver Post today's kids -- with their iPods and smartphones -- aren't impressed by the old machines.
But Stone says they're mesmerized when he puts a record on the platter and it starts to play.
