This year's summer season at the Mann starts earlier and runs later than ever before and includes musical genres for every taste.
June brings everything from Irish Rockers 'The Script' to Indie titans 'Bright Eyes' and the electro pop sensation 'Owl City.'
Catherine Cahill, President & CEO of Mann Center for the Performing Arts said,"We have the incomparable Mormon Tabernacle Choir and orchestra. Of course, the great Philadelphia Orchestra will be with us the end of June. We couldn't be more delighted to have our resident company back for three concerts."
The orchestra will open with the chorus-filled Carmina Burana, followed by the Tchaikovsky spectacular with fireworks, and finally arrangements from the Beatle's Abbey Road.
"The month of July here starts on July 3rd. We are thrilled to have R. Kelly join us here this year. We also have Kid Cudi. We also have a very exciting anticipated return here of Further. Of course, that's the Grateful Dead," said Cahill.
The Pittsburgh Symphony also performs in July and the Russian National Orchestra will make its east coast debut, with three concerts featuring circus acrobats, fireworks and the nutcracker.
Cahill says, "The month of August and the month of September, we have a number of wonderful artists that will be joining us, many for the first time. We are delighted that Death Cab for Cutie will be back. The incredible young artist, Selena Gomez, one of the hottest, hottest young artists on the scene today will be with us."
You can walk back in time with the O'Jays, the Four Tops and the Stylistics. Enjoy a night of The Who classics with lead singer Roger Daltrey and hear the world premiere of a new work commissioned by the Mann and performed by Indie pop Diva, Du Yun, followed by a DJ Battle of the Bands and Dance Party.
