Woman found dead in Pa. river had gone after dogs

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - May 30, 2011

The Lehigh County Coroner's Office confirms the body found Sunday is that of 53-year-old Pamela Boyko of Lehigh Township.

Officials say a fisherman discovered the body near the Allentown-Whitehall Township border.

Boyko's family says she took the canoe out into the river Wednesday evening to find her two dogs. They were later found alive. Her canoe has also been found.

The four-day search had been hampered by storms and the resulting fast-moving, murky water.

An autopsy on the body found is scheduled for Tuesday.
