It happened along the 3000 block of Fontain Street in Strawberry Mansion.
A17-year-old girl says that, around 2:00 a.m., she woke up to find a man standing over her with a knife.
Police say that man is 30-year-old Keith McNealy of the 3000 block of West Colona Street.
According to investigators, the girl said McNealy threatened her and tried to rape her.
There were other adults inside the house sleeping at the time.
Officials say the teen was stabbed in the hand but otherwise is okay.
Police say there was a brief altercation between the girl and the man earlier in the day as he tried flirting with her.
McNealy is charged with: Rape, Aggravated Assault, Burglary, Unlawful Restraint and other related offenses.
