Eighteen-year-old Justin Ramirez of Bethlehem has been charged with 12 counts of terroristic threats. He was arrested Tuesday at Liberty High School, where he's a senior.
Bethlehem Superintendent Joseph Roy tells The Morning Call that the threats were posted in an online discussion with other students about the effect of budget cuts.
Police say Ramirez wrote about having weapons, killing the school board and taking over the school. A teacher saw the posts and contacted administrators, who told police.
Ramirez's mom, Pamela Torres, told WTXF-TV on Thursday that her son had no intention of harming anyone.
Police found no weapons at Ramirez's house. He remains jailed on $200,000 bail.
