The crash happened on Route 676 northbound, near Atlantic Avenue, right around 2:30 Sunday morning.
Police say a SUV rammed the back of a car with the women inside. The two women and the driver of the SUV were injured in the crash.
A large group of people showed up at the scene afterwards causing some kind of disturbance as rescue workers tried to help those hurt in the crash. It is believed the people were friends of the injured women.
New Jersey State Police are handling the investigation.
