Supermarket robbers strike out

WARRENTON, Mo. (AP) - June 7, 2011

Police in Missouri report a pair of supermarket robbers struck out, thanks to a father and son, who were returning from baseball practice.

A local television station reports Derrick Moreau and his son Michael had stopped at a Kroger's.

They saw the robbery in progress.

According to police, Derrick snuck up on one of the young bandits and tackled him.

Michael and two clerks grabbed the second robber.

Warrenton police say it's not often they get to a crime scene and find the suspects already in custody.
