Parts of Gloucester and Atlantic County were hit with severe thunderstorms Saturday afternoon.
The fire was reported in the two story dwelling around 4:30pm, and was brought under control within an hour.
Atlantic City Electric is reporting several thousand customers without power in Elk and Franklin Townships.
There were no reports of injuries.
Residents in Clayton, N.J. were trying to maneuver around heavy flooding from the storms.
