And before you send away for a sample of that free miracle cream, we have a warning.
Some consumers are receiving ads in the mail that look like they were ripped out of a magazine and sent by a friend who wrote a message on top saying "It works, and I only paid for shipping!"
But if you get something like that, beware.
Agnes Kleschick got an ad in the mail for a sample of the most powerful anti-wrinkle secret in history.
When Agnes called for her so-called free sample, the representative told her she had to supply a credit card number, and she'd automatically be enrolled in a program for additional products!
"And I said to her, I'm not interested in a program ordering any other products," said Agnes.
But Agnes says Perfection Skin Care billed her credit card not just the $13.95 to ship the sample, but also $138.85 for the supplemental products.
"I said, I don't want it. I didn't order these products, and I will not pay for them," Agnes said.
Perfection Skin Care did credit her account, but Agnes wants to warn others.
"Be very wary of getting involved," Agnes warned.
Meantime, Perfection Skin Care tells Action News: "We have no intention of signing someone up if they did not intend to subscribe. We will de-activate auto-ship immediately and refund someone if that happens. We enclose the billing and shipping information and our 1-800 number in the package."
