Police are looking into reports that he was shot in the head and tossed from a moving vehicle.
Investigators were called to the 3700 block of Greenland Drive, near the Strawberry Mansion Bridge, around 2:45am Saturday morning.
The unidentified victim was rushed to the Hospital of the University Pennsylvania.
There is no word on his condition.
Police continue to search for a suspect.
