Jordan was arrested Sunday around 2:00 a.m. in a parking lot of a bar and grill in his native Harrisonburg, Virginia.
He was involved in a verbal assault that escalated to a physical altercation. Jordan turned himself in and General District Court records filed Monday show he was released on his own recognizance. The court records did not list an attorney for Jordan.
The Daily News-Record reported that police did not provide details on his arrest.
An Associated Press message left with the Harrisonburg police was not immediately returned.
The 6-foot-1, 230-pound Jordan played at James Madison University and was signed by the Eagles in 2007.
