Woman's wallet swiped in frozen food aisle

ASTON, Pa. - June 23, 2011

The theft happened in the Giant Food Store on Concord Road in Aston, Pa. on Saturday afternoon.

Both suspects, caught on surveillance video wearing all white clothes, approached the victim and asked questions about frozen pizza.

"At one point the actor asked the victim to reach down and get a few boxes of pizzas off the shelf for her," said Officer Colleen Joyce of the Aston Police Dept.

Police believe that's when the suspect swiped the woman's brown leather wallet.

Moments later, one of the suspects was caught on surveillance camera with the stolen wallet in her right hand.

She abandons her shopping cart and puts the stolen wallet in her purse. Within ten minutes, police say, the women's gray SUV is picked up on surveillance cameras at the Wawa in Aston. Both women are spotted using the victims' stolen credit cards.

"They went to the Wawa and purchased gasoline and $200 worth of gift cards," said Officer Joyce.

Police believe the suspects were driving a gray Chevy Equinox.

If you can identify those women, Aston police want to hear from you.
