Bird-lovers have been flocking to The New York Times live hawk cam to watch Pip and its parents, Violet and Bobby.
Their nest is on a 12th-floor ledge at New York University.
The hawk cam caught Pip taking flight for the first time yesterday morning.
Pip flew about 200 feet to the roof of a building.
Pip was hatched May 6, which was caught on the Web cam, too.
