The increased privacy measures are spelled out in a proposed lawsuit settlement between Cherry Hill and a woman who sued after learning she was recorded using the restroom in a holding cell.
The Courier-Post of Cherry Hill reports a federal judge is expected to rule Monday on the settlement with 42-year-old Philadelphia resident Gretchen Winterbottom. She was charged with drunken driving in March 2009 and later pleaded guilty to refusing to take a Breathalyzer test.
Under the settlement, the township would post signs about the taping and create a bigger "black box" on the videos to protect suspects' privacy.
