Bank robber drops money after dye pack explodes

Police are investigating a bank robbery that resulted in money being left on the streets.

The robbery occurred around 2:00 p.m. at the Citizens Bank inside the Acme on Centerville Road in Prices Corner.

Police say a man robbed the bank and fled on foot in the parking lot.

The dye pack then exploded, but the suspect kept running.

Money from the stolen bag fell onto the streets.

Police and passersby tried to recollect the stolen money.

There is no word on if the suspect had a weapon or if all the money was recovered.
