That's an average of 25 bats and four birds at each of the state's 420 turbines.
The Daily American of Somerset reported Wednesday that state wildlife biologists are trying to determine what an acceptable level of mortality is for the turbines in the state.
The report says the deaths of three endangered birds were documented, but no deaths of threatened or endangered bats.
