Healthcheck: Free dental care for uninsured

WEST CHESTER, Pa., - July 11, 2011

From 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m, adults can get cleanings, fillings, and their teeth pulled if necessary.

Dr. Eric Shelly hopes to see people who don't have dental insurance and have been putting off care.

"People are losing insurance because of the economic situation. There are some people in jobs that don't offer dental insurance, and they make too much to qualify for the state programs," said Dr. Shelley.

Tom Merk came in last year after putting off care because of dental anxiety. He got help for the crown that he lost, along with some other dental work.

"Cleanings, x-rays, and I think I've had two fillings. It's pretty comprehensive care," said Merk.

During "Free Adult Dentistry Day," they hope to see about 100 patients so it's important to make an appointment.
