WPXI-TV reported Tuesday night that Chrysta Plesniak and Robert Guyer, both 23, were also charged with conspiracy after their son told a hospital worker that he had been kept in his room "forever" and only allowed out to use the bathroom.
According to the criminal complaint, Plesniak and Guyer began their son in his room after he had accidents on the floor in the house.
The boy's condition was discovered after his grandmother, noticing some bruises on him, took him to a hospital.
