Around 6:15 a.m., a police SWAT warrant unit was serving a warrant at a home on the 2000 block of Wilmont Street.
Officers gained entry to the home and a pit bull inside lunged at an officer. An officer discharged his weapon to scare the dog. Nothing was struck by the bullet.
Police did make an arrest for the warrant. Police have not released details pertaining to the nature of the warrant.
