Delaware State Police say Vanessa Riojas has been charged with second-degree assault, possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony and resisting arrest.
Authorities say just after midnight Wednesday, police responded to the 3000 block of Lemay Lane Premier Village Apartments in Dover. Police say the woman brandished the knife and cut the man on his hand during an argument over their recent relationship.
Authorities say the man received stitches for a two-inch cut to the back of his hand.
