2 persons of interest sought in AC boardwalk shooting

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. - July 7, 2011

It was just after the July 4th celebration had ended that the video shows a confrontation and fistfight began outside Bally's Park Place.

A 17-year-old Vineland boy and a 22-year-old Bridgeton man were wounded.

Both survived their injuries.

Investigators have found their chief person of interest on video from inside the casino.

Police also presented a picture of a second person of interest and associate of the person who appears to be the boardwalk triggerman.

Police believe both may live somewhere in the Atlantic County area.

Prosecutor says there indications the trouble began inside the casino earlier.

As many as 15 people were said to be involved in the fight, which drew at least 100 onlookers who scattered when the gunfire erupted.

A handgun believed to be the attempted murder weapon was found at the Bally's Park bus terminal

The district attorney says this incident should not be viewed as a reflection on Atlantic City because there were 150,000 tourists on the boardwalk over the weekend. This kind of violence, he said, could happen anywhere with these kind of large crowds around.
