Man held at Pa. police station floods cell

SCRANTON, Pa. - July 8, 2011

Police say 29-year-old Freddie Lloyd had been arrested Wednesday on charges of terroristic threats, harassment and unlawful restraint after allegedly assaulting a woman and threatening to stab a man walking with her.

About three hours later, a surveillance camera showed Lloyd climb on the toilet in his holding cell and reach for the sprinkler. The Times-Tribune of Scranton reports the image became blurred and dark. Police went to the cell and found water flooding out of it. Damage is estimated at $1,000.

Lloyd has been committed to Lackawanna County Prison on $25,000 bail. It wasn't immediately clear if he had an attorney.
