Storms Friday afternoon and early evening brought torrential downpours to much of the state, prompting flash flood watches and warnings.
Scattered road flooding was reported. Flooding on Interstate 295 in Camden County caused major delays during the afternoon rush hour.
State police say a trooper was injured when his patrol car collided with a tractor-trailer on I-295 in Mount Laurel. He was taken to Cooper Hospital in Camden. There was no immediate word on his condition.
The weekend forecast calls for sunny skies and highs in the upper 80s.
