The incident happened just before 4:00 Monday afternoon on Hollow Road near the Gladwyn off-ramp of the Schuylkill Expressway.
Police tell Action News that the driver struck a tree at the end of the traffic ramp. The tree fell on the vehicle, trapping the driver and a passenger inside.
The fire department was able to free both people and they were transported to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania with non-life-threatening injuries.
