The Daily Local News reports the 100 to 200 year sentence handed down Wednesday for the Spring City man is among the harshest imposed in Chester County history.
The man's stepdaughter testified she was forced to have an abortion after the pregnancy was discovered.
County President Judge James MacElree II told the defendant he intended for the man to die in prison for the abuse the girl suffered starting when she was 11.
The defense claimed during the March trial the girl's allegations were in retaliation for not being allowed to go on trips.
Since The Associated Press does not generally identify victims of sexual assault, they have not identified the man sentenced in this case.
