Police: Speed, erratic driving led to crash on NE Extension

WORCESTER TWP., Pa. - July 21, 2011

The crash occurred around 11:10 a.m. along the southbound lanes of the Extension at mile marker 25, between Midcounty and the Lansdale Exit in Worcester Township, Montgomery County.

A jeep driven by 30-year-old Curtic Docktor of Quakertown changed from the right lane to the left lane and struck a tractor-trailer. The jeep then overturned multiple times - ejecting Docktor and his 20-year-old passenger, Ariel Eisenhauer of Quakertown.

The victims were lying in the roadway when the police arrived.

One victim was airlifted to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. The other victim was airlifted to Abington Memorial Hospital. Both were listed in critical condition on Thursday.

Police say neither were wearing their seat belts.
