Car flips over leaving 1 dead on N.J. Turnpike

BURLINGTON COUNTY, N.J. - July 21, 2011

The crash happened just after 5:30 p.m. Thursday, in the southbound lanes near Exit 4 and Route 73 in Mount Laurel, New Jersey.

Police say the driver was going southbound when he drifted from the right lane towards the left lane and smashed into the median.

The impact of the crash caused the vehicle to flip on its roof.

The 53-year old driver was killed. His 42-year old wife and three daughters were injured in the crash and were transported to Cooper Medical Center.

The 11-year old daughter is in serious condition.

The remaining victims suffered minor injuries.
