The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control's Fisheries Section said Friday that the fish had been caught last week in Marshyhope Creek and last fall in Broad Creek. Both fish weighed between four and six pounds and were adults.
Both waterways feed into the Nanticoke River.
Officials are asking residents to report possible snakehead catches by calling (302) 739-9914. Snakeheads should not be released back into the water.
