Description of church statue vandal released

A vandal chipped away the nose of the Virgin Mary outside St. Joan of Arc Church in Marlton, New Jersey.

Detectives in South Jersey continue to search for the suspect responsible for vandalizing religious statues.

Police say that 40 statues have been damaged overall.

The latest incident happened at Saint John Neuman Roman Catholic Church in Mount Laurel.

In this case, the vandal broke off the Blessed Mother's hands.

Authorities believe the suspect is a white male in his late 20's to early 30's with shoulder length hair driving an older model compact car.

They say he is targeting only female statues, mostly of the Virgin Mary.
