McQueen's will shows his love for dogs, charities

LONDON (AP) -July 26, 2011

The newly published will shows the designer, who committed suicide last year, left roughly 16 million pounds ($26 million), including 50,000 pounds for care of his household pets.

The document released Tuesday shows McQueen also left 250,000 pounds each to his five siblings and 50,000 pounds each to his two housekeepers.

He left 100,000 pounds each to four charities, including two that help sick animals.

The designer left the bulk of his estate to his Sarabande charity with the suggestion that some money be used for scholarships at London's Central St. Martin's College of Art and Design.

He was one of the school's many famous graduates.
