The blaze broke out around 1:45 on Friday morning in the garage of a house on the 500 block of Pulinski Road in Northampton Township.
Flames quickly leapt to the home's second floor.
The family living at the house, managed to get out safely.
Firefighters had a tough time battling not only the fire, but the hot and humid conditions.
The blaze destroyed the garage and caused extensive damage to the home.
Investigators are looking for the cause.
