Police found John Digman staying at an unidentified motel along Route 1 in Bensalem on Sunday night.
Officers say when they approached Digman he resisted arrest and was actually detained by a police K-9.
Digman has been turned over to federal custody.
Digman was released from prison on July 2nd after serving a lengthy prison term for a string of bank robberies.
Officials with the FBI say he went back to his old ways about a week later by trying to hold up the Bank of America on East Allegheny.
In all, he was wanted for a total of 8 bank robberies in Philadelphia over the past three weeks.
