The accident happened around 9:20 a.m. on Upper Pike Creek Road.
Investigators say it appears that the female driver of one vehicle crossed over into oncoming traffic and struck another vehicle head-on.
Both drivers were injured.
The female driver suffered multiple fractures of the legs. The male driver of the other vehicle suffered chest injury and cuts, bruises. Both were transported to Christiana Hospital.
The accident has Upper Pike Creek Road closed from Pike Creek Road to Linden Hill Road.
