The accident happened around 7:30 a.m. on 1st Avenue near American Avenue.
SEPTA officials say the bus was traveling westbound on 1st Avenue when the crash occurred.
One occupant of the car was trapped and needed to be extricated from the wreck by rescue workers. That person was transported to the hospital. The severity of the victim's injuries have not been made clear.
There were no injuries on the bus.
