It happened Tuesday morning in the parking lot of the Plaza Towers Apartments in the 2300 block of Tremont Street. It's in the area of Pennypack Park.
The victim is said to be a black male between 25 and 30 years of age. Police say he was sitting in a vehicle when he was shot in the neck and the chest.
The male was pronounced dead at the scene around 6:46 a.m.
Police are looking for a black male wearing a red hoodie and khaki pants. He fled in a teal colored vehicle.
